We made another trip to Cutro, a town about 15 miles away. One of the members lives there and she wanted us to meet her family and teach a friend. Her Father we have met before, he is the ideal of Italian Papa's, he loves his daughter and proud of her and his sons-- but don't cross him in a discussion. He is just a hoot, and he loves to tease. She had us meet her brother and his son and the granddaughter at a gelato, which they own. I learned something new again! Each gelato store makes their own flavors, all hold trade secrets about how they come up with those flavors. It is cheese, bread, pizza, & sausage, all over again, they all have their own secret recipe. The son is going through a divorce and we have been asked to pray for them.
We were then shown where Pina's husband works. It is in a huge convert that has been restored in the heart of the town center.
She wanted us to hear his big news from him. He has been given a honored with a promotion and great opportunity. He will have to work in a new city but it is 45 minutes away and so they will not move! Hooray, they are the only family in the branch, father, mother, teen daughter and primary son!
We met Pina's friend, he was her Head School Master. He is 80, his wife died 10 years ago and his daughter died a year later. He is a gentle, sweet man. He has 3 books of poetry published. He talked about his wife and daughter a great deal. It is uncomfortable being in the room and just getting a word here and there. Praying and asking for help to understand is without question, the only option. After doing this, well pleading, the thought came to me about Grandpa Joe. His whole desire was to have Grandma Edith for Eternity, not just time. He prepared himself and made the changes and he was sealed to her and his family for eternity. Through Carl, I told this brother about Grandpa Joe and that he too could be sealed for all eternity to his wife and loved ones. Our family photo came to mind and we shared our family picture Christina sent us with the Manti Temple in the back ground. He tearfully shared his parting words he had with his daughter and the promise he made to her. 
As we were about to have a closing prayer he asked us to go up stairs (well not knowing what was being said, I thought we were being ushered out).He showed us upstairs to his son's home, who just turned 50, his wife and teen aged son were introduced. We spent a little becoming acquainted and then he asked Carl to pray. Later I learned the 50 year son is sick, not sure what his health issues are, but knowing this brother, Mr Stirparo has lost 2 already, it was easy to understand his desire to have the son prayed for. Carl blessed the home the brother, the son, the wife, and teen son.  We will return this next week.
I was reflecting on how amazing and clear the information was that came to mind that helped Brother Stirparo. Later that night I was awoken with this thought, this power came because of the faith and prayers of many, both here and beyond the veil, all working to bring about a great work! This information was a tremendous comfort.
