Part three of the trip.

Our blue car and the bright yellow car parked next to us is from Austria! 

 It pays to have a native with you, this will be the first time we will see the column because we were on the wrong path!

 We made it and as you can see there is slight tilt to the column, there is great concern about how much longer it will stand!

 This little chapel was open for the first time since we have been out. The floor is pretty awesome, those are tiny tiles in the walkway making the picture.

Part 2 of trip in the museum  of Hera's temple

That is Glass, we see that color of glass every now and then along the sea shore rounded and smooth , could it be???? important?

Part one of our P-Day Trip to Capo Colonna -- The Temple of Hera

Anziani, Sorelle and an eternal investigator.

A Thunderbird is a very rare sight in Italy, They stopped because we looked American--- and they were right.

Presidente Bullock was on TV for his second part of the interview Tuesday night. We did not get word of the airing until late and we did not see it nor has anyone told us if they saw it. It was on the late news, but they did do a showing!

 On our way back to Crotone we came across this estate on one side is a vineyard and the other side is a olive grove. It was a beautifully kept piece of property.

 This was a ruin just sitting on the side of the road?! Part old and part new. As we looked down from the ruins there was this perfect Southern Italy scene!

 Part of the walls had these amazing Morning Glories growing everywhere, all along the road!

 They were such brilliant flowers.

They are putting in the winter crops, which they do by hand. Can you imagine!!!

 We took a few hours and visited a place we have not seen before called Rizzuto ( Re- zoo toe)
It was so lovely and peaceful!

 These ladies are hammering the olives to make that pickled treat we saw in the street market.

 So I asked to learn how to made Pranzo , lunch, So Maria agreed to teach me. The work involved in these meals in incredible! One of the favorite dishes in our area in Stuffed Zucchini Blossom.
You wash and trim the flower ,cut up & mix cheese and ham and put down into the blossom and pinch the top. 

 This had been cooking for a long time, It is beans and greens sound crazy but it was really good! The greens are bitter leafy plant like lettuce but it did not taste bitter at all!

 They do stuffed Zucchini that is the stuffing, kind of like our stuffing for turkeys, with the cooked center of the zucchini in the mix.

 making it into a paste and then pat into the zucchini shell-- very like twice baked potatoes--

 After your stuff the blossoms you dip them in batter and fry.

They were very good , she had made them with my gluten free flour. Those were just three parts of the meal. I didn't think of pictures until after we have made the lasagna, fried the breaded chicken slices, fried up the potatoes and bread, cheese , & fruit. These woman work very hard to make everyone happy!
