So I asked to learn how to made Pranzo , lunch, So Maria agreed to teach me. The work involved in these meals in incredible! One of the favorite dishes in our area in Stuffed Zucchini Blossom.
You wash and trim the flower ,cut up & mix cheese and ham and put down into the blossom and pinch the top.
This had been cooking for a long time, It is beans and greens sound crazy but it was really good! The greens are bitter leafy plant like lettuce but it did not taste bitter at all!
They do stuffed Zucchini that is the stuffing, kind of like our stuffing for turkeys, with the cooked center of the zucchini in the mix.
making it into a paste and then pat into the zucchini shell-- very like twice baked potatoes--
After your stuff the blossoms you dip them in batter and fry.
They were very good , she had made them with my gluten free flour. Those were just three parts of the meal. I didn't think of pictures until after we have made the lasagna, fried the breaded chicken slices, fried up the potatoes and bread, cheese , & fruit. These woman work very hard to make everyone happy!
