We are entering Herculaneum in Ercolano, Italy. This city was down from Pompei and the ruins are in fabulous condition, they were covered by mud not ash from Mount Vesuvio, with much less damage.
The city is thousands of years old BUT look at the detail, They may have been smaller people but they were master builders.
A store room for treasures found on site.
The entry to this wealthy mans home and all the remarkable pictures & fixtures that remain.
This is a temple and the fresco's are still visible and colors clear.
The original wood! there are many buildings with the wood from that time still there.
A grand city.
We are entering the BATH for the servants. What beauty, and what detail.
Leaving the Ruins and saying good bye to this amazing project of recovery.
