Christmas Day Dinner Pranzo,  Caserta Style, LOTS of fish. Everything was very good.

 This is a specialty  " Piglet Soup" Spinach, piglet and I don't know what else. I can say I ate it. Hope to not have to try that again though. 

 This plate was my favorite and I almost ate the whole thing before taking the shot. Red Peppers and Potatoes with shredded truffles as a topping! WOW truffles are very very good----no wonder they sale them for so much. They are found here so not too pricey! Christmas dinner is all about fish, so my tutor says. SO I ate at least 6 different fish but unsure what was in some of the dishes. I didn't take pictures of ALL the platters of food-- I should have, it was astounding!

 After an amazing Christmas Breakfast we loaded up and went to the Aqueducts 

 When we arrived it was foggy and we were unable to see very far.

 At the top of the hill is where we were.

 This Anziano climbed up to see what it looked like inside and run down to say hello to the rest of the group.

 As the fog lifted the sun peeked through and left a stunning shadow. Just not showing up well.

 That is how deep the acgueduct is. It was too foggy, no one could see him from the parking lot up on  top!

 When he got down out of the aqueduct the fog lifted!

 This is 23 miles long and was built to water the gardens at the Reggia. It is 260 years old.

 Outside our Grand Hotel just down from the "Reggio" . It was very nice

 We gathered chairs in the main lobby to have our supper. All the Restaurants were closed Christmas Eve so we brought our own.

 When the hotel staff saw what we were about to do they gave us a room for 45 minutes to eat in! President said -- now sisters think of this as a Elder Quorum Dinner not RS ---- 

 Sorella Waddoups provided our costumes and we acted out the Nativity.

 Christmas morning we got in the spirit of things and enjoyed ourselves!

 Very Italian-- This vase shows what is important, it is all about fresh fruit and Veggies!

 The Palace Nativity --- the figures are 12" and taller. There are hundreds of them. 

 I did not add all the other cases TOO many!

 This is the "REGGIO" it is a Palace built after the style of Versailles in France--- It is about 3 to 4 time the size of Versailles. It is Huge--- The build across the front is the main building but there are two building on  the sides as well --- 4 thousand rooms in the main building alone.

 This is the back of the main building the gardens go up the mountain, with fountains and statues. We got there just as they closed the garden.
