This Castle is on a mountain and it is call Santa Severina. It will one we have shown before and very well preserved and cared for. This has indoor pumping, of a sort.

 Yet another passageway.

 Crotone Castle 

This has been blocked off ever since we got here but that day it was open!

 Lots of passageways not open to the public.

 This passage way is just about a well, it is hard to see but the little shelf  to the right is the entrance to the passageway.

 We finished the day with a pizza party hosted by Sorella Angela

Good food and better company!

 We stopped by to see Sorella Angela and she showed us her home. This is a bread table. No idea how old. They mixed the bread in the cabinet and then closed it to let the bread rise. I said that was a lot of bread! She said they made a lot of bread at a time.

 She has such a lovely home, the water has been leaking down through the walls. She has been having some work done , hoping that will correct the problem.

 This is a needle point picture, She was not sure how old but I love it because many of the guys here go grey at a very young age - some in their teens so the betrayal of Joseph with grey hair seemed more real to me.( the picture is about 4' by 2 /1/2'

 Sorella Angela loved the fact that they got down to her level!

 On our way to Capa Colonna we stopped for Pronza (Lunch) Sea food delight, sword fish, shrimp,
clam, and squid, it was much more than anyone could eat!

 The cloudy day proved perfect to take a shot of this stain glass window in the little white church.

 There are Greece and Rome ruins here .

 The towel was built after the Roman Period but is Medieval.

This is little lizard lives inside the museum! There is lots of sand around all the artifacts.

 We got there at a time when this side of the castle was open, we have only seen the tower side of the castle!

 That is the side we were able to explore!

 This is Capo Rizzuto.

 We had a large cruise ship docked in Crotone, most are smaller. The passengers were from the United Kingdom. We ran into several.

 My only picture of Zone Conference but we made it and then went on to Paola to pick up Ryan and Laura.

 Long trip plus jet lag!
