 The rooms that house the clothes are just above the large door. The top floors not open to the public.

 One of the many drains but this one does not feed into a storage tank, it pours out on the walls below feeding the bushes along the way down.

 This type of roof tile is everywhere, but we had no idea they were so thick. The tile is a inch thick, but the plaster is 3 to 4 inches thick that seals it all together. Coming down one of the stairs we came face to face with this roof.

There were some wonderful example of KEYSTONES, but the darker rooms did not show them very well. 
The Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion and as you can see how that stone supports the arch you get a different idea of what that entails for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 We took a couple of hours and went to a castle that we have been told of since we got here. It is just 20 miles away. The location is a perfect defense location. This castle and many others were part of the countries alert system. The towers built fires on them that could be seen for great distances. We could see three other hill top cities from the top, along with the sea and our own Crotone.

 The city of San Severina sits on the tip top.

 Welcome-- the trip up had a narrow road full of switch backs.

 The castle is one level after another of large and spacious courtyards, used today for concerts and public and private parties.

 Looking to the East you can see the Catholic Chapel once Greek Orthodox Church and to the West you enter the main gates. There are many entrances but only one will let you in, as we found out!

 I had to take a couple of pictures of these courtyards, the stone work is over the top! White marble in the walkway in and the courtyard was divided into 4 sections half one direction the other half a different direction.

 On the first level you see the water system the shinny hole is to show the storage tank for water and the pipers coming down from the tank have been cut open to show that they had running water in this castle!

 This map shows all the castles who were a part of the defense system. They showed pictures of each Castle as it stands today and they were all standing from what we could tell.( this is just our section of the map so it was a map of all of Italy.) 

 On Guard, they had many knights through out the castle, nothing that looked from the time period of the castle though! 

 The lower level was the wash room, this is the tub for washing.

 There was a floor here at one point and now all that is left are the burials that were under the floor of the castle chapel.

Had to get some of the ceilings, not in the style of the rest of Italy, but beautiful.

 We were once again asked to come to the last birthing class and talk about the importance of family. On our way, we found Cutro has as many groups of men talking about the problems of the day, as we do.

 This Chapel was in front of the building we went to.

 This is a real street market-- as he is driving-- people run up and grab food and pay. 

 We have always had the class at the clinic but with no air conditioning and the heat, they got permission to have it in the men's hall. Carl is standing by one of the floor unites used to cool things down! 
We used the video from Elder Neil Anderson on "Having Children in Faith". It was well received. One woman said she had never thought about birth as being sacred, or a partnership with God.

 Our member who continues to invites us there, is in the middle of the 6 moms. 

 These are of the Mom's couches-- their MOM"S-- men are not allowed in the birthing room in many of the hospitals here!

This Mom wanted to pay a tribute to her mom and so she sang her this song, about Mothers. Her Mom sat and cried!

We found a new place to  check out our city. Yes we have been here 6 months and just came across a part of the castle that is open to the public. We loved the views! 

I was hoping you could see the chapel spires, not so easy.

 That pier along side the ship is the place we like to walk in the morning, 

 We are sending another Sorella home, Sorella Marsh was fantastic, I don't think I every heard her not sing a hymn, except during meetings of course! She was a POSITIVE force for good, and the sweetest dear. Even the students were unhappy to have her leave. One student said she was part of his second family, she will be missed. BUT WELL DONE!

 Buses come and go it is a good sized station, but not looking too busy at 6 am.

 Our 4TH of July was spent in Cosenza doing apartment inspections and attending training meetings. Our fun was lunch with the Missionaries there and Italy's version of hamburgers and fries! Notice we are all wearing RED, WHITE AND BLUE!     LOVE AMERICA!
