This is a tiny clip, the blog would not allow more than 100 gb so this will have to do,
The "Meet the Mormons " film was great. There was a strike the day before and some city works were let go. That is a very painful problem with very little work as it is. The men had gathered the day before when Pres and others went over to check out the sound system and wiring. Some angry men were airing their frustrations. The Brothers from the church waited until they had left before entering the room, it was a very rough group, I'm told! The night of the film unhappy men were back. The "news" told them city officials would be coming to the film, they were waiting. No one from the city came in, some drove by so that at least said they would have come in. In the end we had a few people who wanted to be there, a little more that 10% of the invited guest and we invited whoever was in the building to come and join us, we ended up with about 30 including members, missionaries  those in the building and guests. So seats for 45 worked out fine. The real success story was the members working together to make this all happen! BRAVO! We lived the Parable of the Feast. We just know those who made it inside felt good and enjoyed the film.
We went to a members home on Wednesday evening and took these shots from off  their TV
Part of little success team before the film,

 Before the movie
After the movie with a very happy viewer. She was in the building working and is an English Course student, also taking the discussions!

The Church was invited to the TV station for an interview about “Meet the Mormons”. Because of what we saw at the awards ceremony with this TV station, we were rather concerned. It was all live interviews. The Station owner/ manager wanted two interviews. One about the movie and the other one about what our church believes. She is well respected and covers a large part of Southern Italy so it was important to do well. Our Public Affairs person was to do the interview with Pres. but her daughter hurt her back and she had to decline the interview today. We had one other person on stand by and he came. When we arrived the owner wasn’t too happy our person, who they changed the interview for-- wasn’t coming.  We hopefully smoothed some of that but it was a little awkward at first.
She decided she would just interview Pres. and they did a 20-25 minute take. She did not ask any hard question, most were easy to answer. Pres. did very well, the lights were very warm and he was in a suit, he still handled it all without any language problems and no odd poses.
The long and the short-- all ours and your prayers were answered. We are very grateful!
They did not do a live take and they will show the ‘ trailer’ on their station as well. They will air the clips??? No promises when but they will do clips before both showings. All in all couldn’t be more pleased! The owner is a good woman and we feel confident she will air the clips without a negative spin.
Sorella Mc notice the tie-- what great taste you have!
Just going over the interview and evaluating before ascending the stairs and home.
Oh the power of faith and prayers-- GRAZIE to one and all!
We are at the TV Station.
Ready and happy to have this opportunity.

Not turning out as planned, Owner/ Interviewer changes cameras, rooms and cameramen!

Our Greenie has been here for 4 weeks and is giving the Spiritual Thought at English Course in Italian!
It is so impressive to watch the growth--- ( mine is much slower, still we can appreciated others progress!)

This is a slow day on our street this morning. Just 'am always amazed at the parking that goes on. Jump out of your car, run in the store and everyone else drives around you!

The market had a whole new look today as the olives are ripening and they are making lots of pickled treats, with peppers, mushrooms and olives.
Fresh olives-- President is being guided by one of our members and shown the best way to choose and then how to prepare the choice.

Our bread store-- too late for Pres-- favorite bread-- it was 10 am-- she sells out fast, especially on Saturday.
Our sidewalks are done that is one of the blocked used to make the sidewalk, it looks small but that is a 2 liter water bottle behind it.
Our find in the market-- Blonde Pomegranates-- they also have a new variety of Apricots that are just coming on!
In our delivers of invitations we dropped one off here. We have been by this building many many times and Never looked at what it might be.The door has always been locked! The other day it was open and we walked into a shocking sight! All these treasures lined up -- just sitting there.

The entry level was a mess with pigeons, but through a double door we went up the stairs to the office of the Director of Archaeology . We have been working with him in the museum doing translating . We did not know he was the director of Antiquities  as well! It was a very nice surprise to see a familiar face!
Okay ----  these kinds of 'finds' would be under MAJOR lock and key.

 Entry hall we walked into.

 Loving the doors here!
One of the few Old style Cinquecentos left-- they stopped making this model in 1975.
Coming down the hill from a delivery -- love that sea!
This is a side view of the Cemetery where Olga is but the mountains are also in view.
Does this look like SANDY , Utah?

This is Tuesday-- going to get all the paperwork signed to be able to show "Meet the Mormons".
No such luck --still needed more paperwork! Just keep trying!
Third time was the charm!
The office where we went is south of town and more construction is going on there. This building is our areas kind of hall mark-- they love triangle buildings and this one comes to a very shape point. We drove up the driveway of this building and the bottom looked very much like a wedge of cheese!

We were back that afternoon with the needed information, names, numbers, signatures from the mayor, complete with stamps on all documents and letters!! That is a miracle!!!
All dressed up to go and meet the Arch Bishop! Well they went and were invited back next week to make an appointment to really see him. He was not available for his usual public audience today.
Note the LWSOT tie!
Alfredo has been trying to get us to go with him to lunch for sometime. We made it happen today and it was a pleasant Pranza( Lunch)  His wife has been in France since Feb. She is there caring for her sick Mother. It was very hot and muggy today, but along the beach it was nice, not as hot.Alfredo comes to church, just comes late, he is a long time English student. So far he is not interested in the lessons. But he loves spiritual thoughts. Alfredo is a champion swimmer and still holds the records on different races. He taught history all his life.
I had Swiss Chard and potatoes. A group of men came out with large plates of spinach, broccoli, swiss chard, and lots of pasta and bread-- Who says men don't eat their greens , they do here. They eat little meat --- bread, pasta, veggies, fruit, and wine is their diet.
This is pretty remarkable. That is a grape vine. Who knows how it got started but it comes up from the drain pipe along the wall and covers the corner of the patio above with grapes!
Where there's a will, there's a way!
